Fun, Floral-Filled Wedding at The Giraffe Shed

STEPH + BRYNS’ SUPER FUN, FLORAL-FILLED WEDDING IN MID WALES

Picture this: wild and abundant florals everywhere you turn, an epic gold bridal jumpsuit, a film crew, a secret haircut, and the breathtakingly beautiful Welsh countryside as the backdrop. Welcome to Steph and Bryns’ two-day wedding extravaganza at The Giraffe Shed!

Their multi-day celebration featured an awesome team of wedding professionals, but it wouldn’t have been quite so amazing without an incredibly passionate and talented couple to pull it all together. You could tell Steph and Bryns put a huge amount of time and energy into the decor, the feel, and curating the perfect supplier team to bring it to life. The overall vibe was epic and almost otherworldly thanks to the florals, yet with a super fun, high-energy undertone. To be honest, when the concept is ‘Bringing the outside in’, you just hope that everyone involved is able to fully commit and bring their A-game to proceedings, and Steph and Bryns’ wedding was absolutely no exception!

WEDDING FUN AT THE GIRAFFE SHED

From the moment I arrived and Louise Griffin Photography showed me the jaw-dropping floral wonderland expertly crafted by Pheasant Botanica, I knew we were in for a treat, and this wedding would be going down in Electric Reel history! Not only is The Giraffe Shed the PERFECT blank canvas, which is bathed in dreamy natural light, but the owners, Han and Neilo, genuinely want their couples to have the most amazing time ever, which really shines through.

Day one kicked off with a beautiful intimate ceremony where Steph and Bryns officially sealed the deal, surrounded by a handful of their nearest and dearest and the most incredible floral design I think I’ve ever seen! The snaking floral aisle with 7-metre hanging installation above was finished off with a statement window framed by trailing flowers and foliage. This explosion of blooms which Donna from Pheasant Botanica designed with a wild, untamed aesthetic, brought more than the outside in; it was as if Steph and her loved ones were walking through a magical wildflower meadow…pure magic!

But do you want to know where the extra layer of excitement came from that day? Tan France from “Say Yes to the Dress” had his team filming the whole thing too, which brought an added buzz to the proceedings! Following the ceremony, and before everyone settled down for the evening meal, we whisked the newlyweds off for some gorgeous golden hour shots in the Welsh countryside that surrounds the venue.

Alternative and Fun Wedding Videography

Day two (aka Party Day!), although different in tone to the first, it was just as beautiful but in a completely unique way. It was vibrant, raucous and a LOT of fun! Whereas the bridesmaids wore elegant white for day one, for the party, they switched things up and chose their own individual outfits for the celebrations ahead - think bold pattern, hot pink and sequins…yep! When it came to Steph’s bridal style, she created a different look with her beautiful The White Collection wedding dress and secretly had her chopped into a bob, too (even her husband didn’t know!). And then, as day melted into night and the party started livening up, she changed into the most incredible gold jumpsuit by Nadine Merabi - a show-stopping outfit for the most epic bride!

Their sun-socked cocktail hour was timed perfectly, with everyone sipping delish drinks and mingling as the sun went down over the Welsh hills. This was when we grabbed loads of fun couple and group shots with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. For their wedding video, I wanted the energetic party vibe to come across as vibrantly as it did on the day itself, so I encouraged them and their guests to dance and interact with my camera, which worked really well, and I tell you what, these guys can dance! Soul Motion provided the most amazing soundtrack, and they literally danced until they couldn’t dance anymore; in fact, I even found myself shimmying around the dance floor myself, having a boogie with everyone whilst capturing some brilliant footage of the fun and festivities!

This was, hands-down, one of my favourite weddings to date. From the seamless nature of their multi-day celebration to the insane florals which they managed to repurpose across both days and, of course, the utterly gorgeous couple themselves.

“If you're contemplating a wedding videographer - do it. And do it with Georgia because she really is epic!
We booked Georgia after attending the one wedding fair I was able to drag my now-husband to. Thank goodness we discovered this legendary video goddess! We weren't sure about a videographer before this, but having seen G's work, we knew we needed one, and it had to be her. She is style AND substance! Our videos do what is seemingly impossible and really do capture the events and the vibes of the whole weekend. We went for the full works because once you see what Georgia does, there is no doubt that you will want all you can get of it!
During the wedding, some of our most favourite moments were when we were able to sneak away with just her and our photographer to get some beautiful sunset shots. But the rest of the time, she was just around capturing wonderful little moments of magic that would have been missed by us or forgotten. From the videos, it just seems like she was everywhere, all the time, all at once!
The result of all of this is honestly the most ridiculous video we have ever seen! It brings a massive smile to our faces every time we watch it, and honestly, we have watched that highlight video 50+ times already, when we only received it on Friday! We have had so many messages about the video from family and friends, and also people who didn't even attend the wedding!
Georgia is super responsive and helpful in the lead-up to the big event and afterwards. She honestly just fit in with us during the weekend and felt like a forever friend! We received our trailer very shortly after the weekend, and it absolutely blew up online! We knew we were in for a good'un! Georgia sends the most gorgeous box of treats when sending the finished product, and her whole process from beginning to end is so stress-free but so special. Remembering the best weekend of our lives has been made infinitely easier because G has captured it all!
